While global climate change is putting some cities like Miami and Venice Italy further and further underwater as time goes on, the melting ice flows on Iceland and Greenland are doing exactly the opposite which is a problem for people who live there.
So, as the glaciers melt on Iceland and Greenland the ground beneath them is coming up out of the ocean like a sponge would do after it was squeezed. The other effect is that glaciers have gravity effects too. So, when there are glaciers it attracts the ocean to them through gravity but as they melt the water in the glaciers goes somewhere else to some where else on the planet and then the ocean moves further away from Greenland and Iceland too.
So, even though in other areas of earth the water is rising at sea level, all over on Iceland and Greenland it is doing the opposite and moving further and further away from Iceland and Greenland which is making it more and more dangerous for people who are fishermen in fishing villages in Iceland and Greenland to stay alive and safe while fishing in the ocean while launching their ships at sea because the harbors often don't contain enough water to launch their boats now or the sea has moved so far away from their coastal cities so this is a problem too.
