The CIA and Pentagon have been very secretive regarding Switchblade Drones because they have been used secretly all over the world since the early 2000s

 for CIA and other covert missions eliminating Taliban and ISIS leaders when the U.S. government felt it was necessary. When you can send a kamikaze drone up into the air that can take out literally almost anyone in a car or a house with precision accuracy anywhere on earth through the live video cameras in it's nose it is a very useful tool for black ops operations around the world.

So, they are reticent about providing Switchblades for this reason because it generally changes the face of warfare and what is possible to do in many situations world wide. 

For example, the latest version of the Switchblade is the Swithblade 600 which is an anti-tank weapon that can loiter above a target for up to 40 minutes before making a kamikaze kill anywhere it is sent.

So, it is the precision of accuracy which makes it possible to take time to see what you are aiming and and hitting that allows this level of precision accuracy regarding what persons or tanks or vehicle are being taken out by it at that moment.

So, this, like stinger missiles and Javeling Anti-tank weapons are a whole relatively new form of warfare where often soldiers or people have no idea that they are targeted or about to die. This completely changes the playing fields of war worldwide. It started with Stinger missiles and anti-tank shoulder fired missiles in Afghanistan in the mid 1980s against the Soviet Army there and now it has completely evolved into something even more accurate than those missiles then but equally deadly.

So, what I'm saying here is that warfare has drastically changed from Afghanistan against the Soviets to Ukraine against the Russian because of all these weapons.

The Stinger missiles, the Javelin anti-tank missiles, the Switchblade  6 pound drone that can take out a platoon of soldiers or a car or a pickup truck.

And then you have a Switchblade 600 that can take out a tank and loiter above the target for up to 40 minutes checking targets out also before making a lethal strike which instantly kills anyone in a tank anywhere from directly above it where the armor is the thinnest.
