Driving into Canada through Glacier National Park and Carway, Canada

It was still June when we drove North from Glacier National Park into Canada. It was raining and sleeting a lot then and on one mountain pass coming down out of Glacier we saw a group of people two couples blown over on their camping tandem bicycles from the high winds. (at least they weren't blown off the cliff nearby). So, they seemed uninjured and somewhat prepared for being blown off their camping bicycles in their trek through Glacier National Park. They weren't the first camping bicyclists we had seen in some kind of hypothermic distress in Yellowstone and Glacier national Parks by the way.  Instead of hypothermia now likely camping bicyclists are dealing more with Heat prostration more than anything else.

Carway is pretty remote when you enter Canada that way. For example, because we had already gone online to register the fact of our 4 vaccinations and had taken a picture of our vaccination cards the Canadian Border official only needed about 2 minutes to let us into Canada because of our preparation. By the way if you are going to Canada you cannot go there at all unless you have all your vaccinations (at least two for Covid).

I had never been this route up into Canada before so I was surprised it is a continuation basically of the Great Plains here in the U.S. heading up north into Canada at least as far as Calgary. Also, I had never driven to Calgary before either and I was amazed how much wealth and development there was in and near Calgary, Canada for example. But, from Carway to Calgary it was constantly Farms and cattle ranches and horse ranches and goats and dairy cows the whole way to Calgary which made me understand more the Calgary Stampede celebration they have there once a year too.
