81 degrees on the coast where I live today. Very strange winter weather!

Yes. Today is an oddball day for almost everyone. Lately inland it has been as cold as 29 degrees and around 38 to 40 degrees here on the northern califronia coast. However, right now it is very warm indeed for any time of year because where I live 81 degrees is not a temperature usually reach more than a few times a year in any season because of the coastal fog coming in when it is hot in the summer inland. So, we have Winter and then we have another winter from about June to August or September.

But, all the redwood and Monterey Mine Forests and Bracken ferns we have here wouldn't exist without this cooler weather that can also be moist even in the summers. I'm not saying rain but rather the kind of mist you often get from foggy conditions day or night the forests of Redwood and pine mostly really like. However, the Oak Trees that live all over California naturally also like it too here.
