Even here on the Northern California Coast our high today is only 55 degrees

Though this is pretty normal for most years today is the lower end of temperature highs usually we see this time of year at only 55 degrees but the low isn't that bad at 45 degrees. However, we have been really spoiled lately by daytime temperatures up to 70 degrees or more on the coast which has been nice because it has been clear and sunny too. So, this is basically winter along the San Francisco coast this year which is generally a lot warmer this year than most other years by the way which is another sign of Global Warming (at least for California).

By next Wednesday we are supposed to see more rain but now it's mostly cloudy for the last couple of days with a little rain a few days ago but very little along the coast (more like a heavy drizzle overnight that wet our yard and deck and the roads more than anything else.

However, you likely wouldn't want to be anywhere from maybe New Mexico to North Carolina until after Friday of next week because it could really get awful for many people not used to ice or snow at all.

But, I hopefully don't think as many people will die this time like they did in 2021 in Texas when the whole power grid failed then and people froze to death in droves (between 200 and 700 people) froze to death in Texas then from no power.

This week will be a test to see if the infrastructure of Texas power is any better than before or actually worse.
