This seems very strange because this might mean a Great White Shark took her body all the way from Lover's point in Pacific Grove all the way across the Monterey Bay to in between Davenport and Santa Cruz where it was found on a ranch on the beach there. They were able to identify the body (her relatives) by the wet suit she was wearing for the cold water and from an Apple watch and other bracelets I believe.
However, they didn't say what kind of condition the body was in about a week or more later when they found her.
The water currents in the ocean would not naturally take her body there. However, someone did see a Great White shark with a body in it's mouth heading that direction so maybe this is what actually happened?
The Sharks (if that was what actually happened) often at this location come up from deep in the ocean to attack usually Sea Otters or Sea Lions on the surface. They start deep and go straight up at their target hitting it at maybe 25 mph going vertical. It is likely someone hit at this speed might have broken their neck instantaneously so it might have been very quick (her death).
My old German Physical Trainer from the early 2000s who helped diagnose my hypothyroid condition because she was trained as a physician's assistant in Germany was a good friend and came up from San Diego for Erica Fox's funeral because they were good friends.
