SBC-4 BuNo 1813 was one of the Curtis planes sold to France

END NOTE: 

 I was looking at the front cowling of this plane and realized that they timed the propeller with their machine guns to fire each bullet so it wouldn't hit the propeller which was possible by then. So, the hole next to the propeller at the top of the orange cowling is actually a machine gun port. But, I'm not sure whether the pilot fired this one or the Gunner fired this one because it is possible that the gunners gun was on a swivel of some sort that swiveled into his use for defending the plane from attacks from the side and from behind. However, not sure because I have never seen something like this in action (even on TV) in regard to the design of this particular plane
