It also will likely win Big at the Oscars too for obvious reasons.
However, I was talking to my wife about people being inspired by this movie to act as those in this movie and she was saying this wouldn't be good simply because Trump will invoke the "Insurrection Act" and declare Martial Law which takes away all human rights people have to even be alive if they invoke this.

My thought is that this movie is what happens to people whose rights have been taken away from them (they embark upon "Guerrilla Warfare" against their perceived oppressors).
When you consider that the patriots who won the revolutionary war also practiced "Guerrilla Warfare" against the British soldiers to actually win by attrition the Revolutionary war then you begin to understand where all this is actually going long term.
Because we have had it so easy here in the U.S. we are hard to "Wake up". However, through movies like this people will start to wake up and become empowered in various ways.
Whether this is a good thing or not for them or others is of course debatable as of right now!
However, think of the French Resistance to Hitler which helped Win World war II for the Allies including the U.S.
Leonardo de Caprio does the Stoned revolutionary with a good heart for his daughter to a tee. So, it makes him almost a cartoon character like many revolutionaries were in the 1960s and 1970s who were stoned out all the time. Then you add Junglepussy to the mix and you get the extreme points of view of oppressed people reacting to being harmed all their lives.
This is not just an American movie of wronged people but also a Worldwide movie of wronged people willing to give their lives for the cause of the freedom of everyone.
The main problem with this is Trump and his "Insurrection Act". When the revolutionaries of the 1960s and 1970s we had a more sane and less Hitler type of Government in place. Nixon was bad but not as bad as Trump by a long shot.
Trump wouldn't think anything of killing everyone in the U.S. that didn't look Aryan enough for him sort of like Hitler did by killing 6 million Jewish people. His killing of 6 million Jewish people helped create Israel of today (which might have been a good idea then) but now the middle east is pretty pissed off with Israel especially Iran for some reason. I'm not sure why Iran is more pissed off with Israel than Saudi Arabia for example. This doesn't make a lot of sense to me unless the Saudis consider that "The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
The Saudis are an extreme form of Islam which believes that all people who believe like the Iranian Islamists do need to die. So, from this extreme point of view I could see why "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" applies to Israel because the Israelis hate Iranians too like the Saudis do.
NOTE: to make more sense of where the Saudis and the Iranians are think back of religious persecution of Protestants especially in the 1500 and 1600s in places like Switzerland and Austria which are still very Catholic being right next to Italy which is the seat of Catholicism worldwide then and now.
So, Islam (people killing each other of slightly different beliefs of the same basic religion is what is going on between Sunni Muslims (Saudi Arabia) and Iranian Islam which is Shia Islam. So, they are killing each other and have been for hundreds of years over these differences just like Catholics killed Protestants in Europe which caused Protestants to move to some place like America or die then.
The same thing is happening between Sunni Muslims and Shia Muslims worldwide now. They are at a similar place as Protestantism and Catholicism was in the 1500s and 1600s, a place of complete intolerance and death.
