Trump's and his people are trying to Dumb the U.S. down. Why?
Because an educated populace (where all races are educated) cannot be manipulated and enslaved by White racist rich Republicans. So, they are sort of like trying to take things back to how they were before the Civil War once again where people aren't educated enough to really know what's going on and are not capable of Critical thinking.
There is a book called "Dumbing us Down" that I read in the 1980s about how this is done to our children too nationwide especially in public Schools.
Unfortunately. this sort of thing starts in public school (the Dumbing of our Children down) and then it goes on in college now because in order to go to a 4 year institution of a college your student loans (for most people) are bankrupting our children right and left now.
So, when I went to college I made use of community colleges simply because it usually doesn't cost must or anything at all like if you are a resident of San Francisco you can go to San Francisco City college for free. Other states have these kinds of community colleges too. So, you have to research about this for your children. Then if you want to transfer up to a 4 year college you can do it in your junior year and save thousands and thousands of dollars in student loans.
And the education (at least for the first two years of college) tends to be better at a community college than a 4 year institution also because as a freshman or sophomore in a 4 year college often you are put into core classes with 1000 other students. What this actually means is you never even speak with your primary professor that is lecturing you so you ONLY meet with Teaching assistants who are in charge of your section who are only usually Juniors and seniors at that college trying to graduate and not fully educated yet. So, this can be a big problem the first two years at any 4 year institution (college or university).
Also, I listened to a college professor at College of the Siskiyous and his position was that public schools have mostly become baby sitting reformatories for children to keep them off the streets. I agree with this too.
So, home schooling your children or putting them in a private school might be the only way not to have your children Dumbed down by public Schools wherever you live here in the U.S.
Because if you don't teach your kids to love learning about new things then who will? It's the love of learning that allows people to become a success in their lives. Without a love of learning we are all lost in life because learning never ends (if you are going to be successful in life) and actually create a life you want to live. Otherwise, people often have no hope at all in life and soon fade out and die.
