For example,
Is rain good or bad?
Is the Sun good or Bad?
Is wind Good or Bad?
Is Rain Good or Bad?
Is snow Good or Bad?
That's right. None of these are either good nor bad inherently, it's just what it does to some people sometimes that is either good or bad.
So, being non-dualistic is recognizing that all things could be good or bad in different situations.
Here is a story from Charlie Wilson's war regarding Non-dualism.
There was a boy who won a horse in China and the people said: "Oh what a lucky boy and the Local Zen monk said: "We'll see."
Then the boy fell off the horse and people said, "Oh the boy is so unlucky he fell off his gift horse and broke his leg. And the Zen Monk of the village said, "We'll See."
Then while the boy's leg was broken there was a war and all the boys in this village died in this war.
and the boy whose leg was broken didn't die in this war because he couldn't go with his friends to this war.
And the people said, "OH. This boy is so lucky because he didn't die in this war like all our other boys did."
And the Zen Monk said, "We'll See"
This is a perfect example of a non-dualistic View that the Zen monk has all the way through this story.
Most things in life are not really either good or bad they are just things happen and some have good effects and some might have bad effects but most things are somewhere in the middle in life being neither good nor bad in many ways or alternating between Good and bad.
So, Dualism is from this point of view a childish way to look at the world only useful if you spank your two year old so they don't run into the middle of the street and get run over by a car.
