Tenzing is a 2026 biographical adventure drama film directed by Jennifer Peedom and written by Luke Davies that chronicles Tenzing Norgay's historic 1953 Mount Everest ascent.

Overview and Plot

Story: The film focuses on the perspective of Sherpa mountaineer Tenzing Norgay as he and his wife Dawa encourage expedition secretary Jill Henderson to help him persuade leader Colonel John Hunt that Tenzing belongs as a full, equal member of the British climbing team rather than a servant.
Themes: It contrasts the Western viewpoint of conquering a mountain with Tenzing's spiritual reverence for Chomolungma (the sacred mother goddess), highlighting the mutual trust formed between outsiders high above the world.
