It's interesting to me that the religion my parents raised me in from birth is sometimes thought of as the first UFO religion which is an interesting thought. I think many things happened simultaneously and many people got certain realizations at the same time because how people thought in the 'I AM" movement as I was growing up wasn't the only group of people thinking somewhat this way. For example, there was the Summit Lighthouse with Mark prophet who then married Elizabeth Clare Prophet and many other groups as well. In fact, I was active from about 1975 to 1977 or 1978 in the Summit Lighthouse also called "Church universal and Triumphant". However, I realized I really am not cut out to be a follower of any religion or group like this because I like to do my own research myself regarding Spirituality and Science and religion. Enlightenment is never ending just like seeking the Truth in life. It is a lifetime of learning amazing things and having a personal relationship with God. (However, many people becoming enlightened don't necessarily believe in God like people do in Christianity but I do). I have sort of stayed a Mystical Christian my whole life but have studied many other things as well like Tibetan Buddhism.
Right mindful Compassion is one of the keys to enlightenment and a long life of helping all beings to permanently end their suffering through enlightenment. Compassion is not only the primary thing in enlightenment it is also the basis of civilization itself here on earth.

J. Gordon Melton identifies the first UFO religion as the group "I AM" Activity, founded by Guy Ballard.[9] This was disputed by Christopher Partridge, who viewed it as a theosophical religion that was a precursor to genuine UFO religions like the Aetherius Society and George Adamski.[10] The 1947 Roswell incident was a key point in time within UFO spirituality, increasing its prominence in the public mind.[11][12] Partridge notes that within the thought processes of UFO religions after 1947, many of these groups maintained beliefs that extraterrestrial beings were "heralds of a new era".[6]
