Highway 97 is still closed all the way from Weed, Ca. to Dorris, Ca.

So, you might have to find another route around this if you are headed towards some place like Klamath Falls or north of there this time of year on vacation or business. Today from Mt. Shasta it is the clearest day smoke wise since we arrived last Thursday. You can still see some smoke coming up from the far side of Mt. Shasta but it looks lighter like they might be getting the fire out some possibly. But, Mt. Shasta the mountain is very clear and I can see from where I am the summit clearly as well as Shastina which is the cinder cone right next to the main summit of the mountain today.
