My father always told me to drink a lot of water so I didn't have kidney stones which are extremely painful. I talked to a doctor about this because I never have had kidney stones because I drink a great deal of water.
However, he told me that if you have congestive heart failure you shouldn't drink water. I mentioned that because I take a diuretic that I have to urinate a lot. He said if I restrict my water far enough I might not need to take a diuretic which was news to me. I said that because of taking diuretic often my mouth gets very dry. He said that maybe I should gargle water and then spit it out to keep my mouth and throat from drying up. Wise words all around.
Often in life even under the best circumstances good information is hard to find when you need it to better stay alive and be healthy. But, today was a good day for good information that will help me stay alive into my 90s or 100s as long as I keep getting good information like this. Hopefully, this will be helpful to you too.
A relative of mine has kidney stones right now which can be very painful and was not trained to drink a lot of water like I was. But, now I'm seeing that these two camps are in opposition to one another which is interesting and good to know too.
So, I guess what I'm saying is: "God help you if you have kidney stones AND Congestive heart failure problems at the same time."
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
