Joaquin Miller's Poem in honor of Burns and Byron:

Miller is remembered today, among other reasons, for lines from his poem in honor of "Burns and Byron":
In men whom men condemn as ill
I find so much of goodness still.
In men whom men pronounce divine
I find so much of sin and blot
I do not dare to draw a line
Between the two, where God has not.

This poem rang very true to me as this is how I see all people too.

Because I am a mystic I look for God in everyone. Though I also believe is self preservation seeing God everywhere I find incredibly useful. To say anyone is completely bad is usually to be a fool. But, to say anyone is totally good except God is to be a fool also.

People here in the physical world "Samsara" are imperfect and unfortunately some of the most dangerous people are the most sincere of all.

When I was young I listened to sincere people because I believed if they were honest with me that I would be okay with them. However, in my 30s I found that often sincere people are filled with horrific traumas that they haven't fully dealt with properly so these same sincere people are often lying to themselves because of these traumas.

This is especially true regarding many people who are extremist into religions around the world, especially those who become terrorists. But, just remember this is true of ALL religions not just any one.
