This is a Tibetan Buddhist Poster of the 21 Taras

Green Tara represents all the 21 Taras. For example, there is Ekajati who is the Grandmother protector and then there is White Tara who is the long life Tara and there is Gold Tara who is the Tara of Wealth and there are many other Taras.
They protect human beings and help them stay alive and be healthy in body, mind and spirit. Their function is a lot like Mother Mary in Christianity and also Quan Yin in Eastern Traditions too. It is Mother Diety energy manifested in a Cultural Archetype.
So, when you look at these 21 Taras in the poster below my first experience was buying this poster in Dharamshala, India where the Dalai Lama lives in 1986 in January when I arrived there with my wife and children. I kept this poster for years while I returned to the U.S. and I still have a large framed picture of White Tara that is a long life protector in my home in the U.S. I and my wife and children were given Green Tara, White Tara and Gold Tara initiations by various Tibetan Lamas to Empower our practices invoking the 21 Taras in the 1980s.
