As time moves on and I watch what is happening worldwide it greatly concerns me what is happening to the human race here on earth. Though I live in the U.S. I get the feeling that the same thing to a greater or lesser degree appears to be happening almost everywhere.
Here is the problem. Global Warming, global Climate Change and globalization are having the effect of panicking all the classes of people on earth, each for slightly different reasons. And yes, there are also millions of educated people who are in denial of Global Warming or Climate change too. And there have always been people living in denial and likely always will be. And often they do not survive world changes but sometimes they do.
But this panic is causing bad decisions to be made by all classes of people. But the main actual effect is what I would call, "The death of the middle class". What many people worldwide might not understand is that without a healthy middle class governments tend to get out of control and fall into fascist, dictatorial or communist totalitarian states. But, for all intents and purposes democracy (the reality of democracy) tends to start dying as a middle class begins to die in any country. And, if the U.S. doesn't find a way to stop the death of the middle class our democracy will not be around much longer either.
One look at the 10% approval of our present Congress and the thought that our congress might get even less approval after the next election tells you something about how close to the end of our democracy we might actually be. Because as long as there is not useful compromise within a Congress Democracy cannot exist. Unless Republicans and Democrats and Independents can compromise we are headed for most likely fascism or dictatorship at present. It cannot be ONly the Republican Way or Only the Democratic way. Without Compromise the people perish!
