Tropical Storm and soon to be Category 1 or 2 Hurricane Isaac appears to be a real soaker. So, if you are under about 10 or 20 feet in altitude anywhere the storm bands are hitting be very careful even if your home is on stilts.
It is likely because of this slow moving storm that the 5 inches and hour rainfall will be anywhere major storm bands are hitting. So, if you are at low altitude or in a hollow or depression somewhere maybe find a tree you can climb or an attic or roof to climb onto. It doesn't hurt to plan ahead. 5 inches an hour of rain with or without storm surge can not only ruin your day but your whole life and the lives of your family and friends. So be prepared.
