Though this button will take you to a video I have been watching on CNN what has actually happened there so far. It seems the parish got hit with up to 106 mph wind gusts and storm surge which over topped the ocean side levees. This basically made most of Plaquemines parish a swimming pool. Since all roads in this area were now underwater any people still there (most because of their pets) had to be rescued by boats from off their roofs and attics with some breaking through to the attics to their roofs any way they could to survive. They are thinking of breaking or blowing up another levee towards the Mississippi River in order to let the water out of this residential area. All Facts quoted from CNN TV.
