Tacloban PHIlippines: some people losing their minds from hunger and losing families: chaos breaking out

Tacloban is totally destroyed. Some people are losing their minds from hunger or from losing their families," high school teacher Andrew Pomeda, 36, told AFP, as he warned of the increasing desperation of survivors.
"People are becoming violent. They are looting business establishments, the malls, just to find food, rice and milk... I am afraid that in one week, people will be killing from hunger."

What has happened here is sort of unimaginable similar to what happened in 2011 to Japan. So, there will be many unexpected consequences ongoing from this worldwide.

Many of the people who lost everything were already living very marginal lives. So, when people already close to the edge lose the last things they have to hang onto as well as relatives sanity can leave an area for awhile. It sounds like Martial Law will have to be declared in a lot of places to restore some order before the chaos gets worse and another 10,000 die just from the chaos there now.
