Kissinger: of the 5 wars U.S. has been in since 1945 only one has achieved our objectives

On Fareed Zacharia's GPS on CNN today Kissinger mentioned that only the first Iraq War which was a coalition to liberate Kuwait from Saddam Hussein of Iraq had been effective. All the other wars, the Korean War, the Viet Nam War, the Iraq war in 2002 and the Afghanistan war have not been effective to U.S. interests in the end.

In fact, it could also be said that one of the many reasons ISIS came about was that when  the U.S. overthrew the Bathists of Saddam Hussein's ruling Sunni based party in the majority Shia nation that Iraq is, it helped create ISIS when many Sunni Generals and officers slowly have joined ISIS to help make it the efficient threat it is today. Also joining ISIS is Chechen Rebels and Chechen Leaders who have been very effective in fighting against Russians in their Chechen Homeland over the years. So, part of the efficiency of ISIS comes directly from Saddam Hussein's officers and soldiers who have joined ISIS and the Chechen commanders and other rebels from Chechnya.

ISIS didn't appear out of nowhere but arose slowly from the grievances of many different mostly Sunni Groups in the region.

Because ISIS is an instrument of Shia genocide and the genocide of anyone not fundamentally Sunni in the world. This is why so many governments (all governments on earth) recognize ISIS as a threat to the continued existence of their government as well ongoing. So, in this sense ISIS is even a greater threat to all governments on earth than Al Qaeda has been ongoing.

Note: However, the Korean war was effective to the interests of the South Koreans but not the north Koreans. And in this sense South Korea was a big win for the U.S. ongoing.
