Sunni Philosophy: Only Holy People are Sunni: All the rest are infidels

Shia Philosophy: Only Holy people are Shia: all the rest are infidels

If you look at this and see that basically (for Sunnis) anyone who isn't a Sunni might eventually need to be killed or converted. And if you look at Shias and for them Anyone who isn't Shia might need to be killed or converted you basically see the problem in the Middle East (and how it affects the rest of the world now and in the future in a nutshell).

My wife asked me this morning: "How could ISIS have been prevented?"

I said, "That isn't as useful a question as you might think."

ISIS was created by Russia primarily and secondarily by Iran and Assad.

To make sense of this Russia took advantage of the crisis between the U.S. and Iran starting in 1980 to forge deeper alliances (the Soviet Union did then) with Iran. Along with this they deepened their alliances with Syria and Assad's father who ruled Syria then.

So, when Arab Spring flashed across the Middle east this really freaked out people like Putin as Russia through Putin isn't into Human rights like the U.S. and Europe. They are into Order even if thousands of people die creating that order similar to China.

So, as Egypt and Libya crashed and burned and Egypt went back to a dictatorship Russia said to itself, "We are going to keep Assad in power no matter what to keep our only warm water seaport intact. (Their second warm water port is now in Crimea).

But, in regard to what is happening on the ground in Syria and Iraq (and sometimes Lebanon and in the future Jordan, Israel etc.  the only really important thing to know is:

Sunni Philosophy and Shia philosophy which is really what is governing what ISIS and Hezbollah are doing in this area of the world. ISIS wants to kill every SHIA in manifesting Sunni basic philosophy and Hezbollah wants to manifest Shia philosophy by killing every Sunni they can.

However, there are only 160 million Shias and 1.2 billion Sunnis. What is the probability of who is going to win eventually? (unless Iran develops nuclear weapons).
