Do you want Peace on Earth?
Do you want Peace in your heart?
Do you want a longer life?
Do you want to help mankind?
One way to help both yourself and mankind is by creating the Leisure to Practice.
Whether you believe in God or not Generating compassion for yourself and all beings will help the world to be a better place.
You might say, "How does this work?"
If everyone you met every day cursed your name and told you they wanted to kill you or gave you a look like that "How paranoid would you be?" You might even become someone like this out of a survival instinct.
However, if you pray and work for the "Leisure to Practice" Compassion through whatever form you want, whether that is through a religion or even a religion of your own choosing or making or a scientific psychological point of view, you can begin to help those around you by becoming a generator of compassion through the Leisure to Practice Compassion towards yourself and all mankind.
One way is to become a minister or priest of some religion. Another way might be to become a psychologist, Doctor, Acupuncturist or other medical helper.
Another way is to create the "Leisure to Practice" in your life.
I began to pray for the Leisure to Practice and to work towards this outcome when I was about 30 and realized this would be both useful to myself as well as all other beings in the universe as well in the past, present and future of the Universe and beyond.
When I finally achieved this in my life I was very surprised how life and God brought this about.
Basically, for me this is how this happened. I got a heart virus and thought I might be dying for about 8 months. Doctors thought it was likely I was going to die too. In the process to stay alive at all I had to retire because you can't work while passing out from not being able to oxygenate your blood. And beyond that if you panic even once you will die while passing out. Luckily for me I knew how to meditate instead of panicking and dying when this happened.
However, 8 months later I was retired and I didn't die. So, God and my prayers for this had created the "Leisure to Practice" in my life. But, I would say this took me about 5 years to get used to having my finances okay and not working and all the psychological adjustments necessary to actually have this time in my life to generate compassion for all beings.
However, I must say the time since I almost died has been the happiest and most rewarding of my whole life. Though it is a very big adjustment from the workaday world, it is very necessary for enough people to do this to balance out all the unhappiness and confusion in the world to keep things calm enough for civilization to continue at all here on earth.
Each one of us is an incredible asset to mankind if we become a generator of compassion for all mankind and all life on earth and in the universe.
IF you think about it western civilization and education came about through priests and ministers of Catholic and Protestant Churches. This is how educational systems first started in the middle ages when education first went beyond tutors for Princes and Kings to more institutionalized educational systems for the general populace.
So, being a generator of compassion for mankind whether you believe in God or not is vital for the continuation of civilization itself in an ever renewing way.
Without enough of us becoming generators of compassion civilization will end.
In some ways just retiring if you have your health you can often become a generator of compassion for your whole family and help them to prosper in all ways, spiritually, physically, mentally and emotionally.
So, the Leisure to Practice in this way becomes one of the saving Graces of Mankind both now and into the future.
I was very lucky in some ways to be forced by life and God after praying for this for about 20 years to be forced to retire at age 50. The reality of this was much different than my fantasy of all this. However, I am now amazed how I live in the Grace of God every day. And this blog is one of the ways in which I consciously generate compassion out to life on earth and beyond. By God's Grace.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
