What happened in Syria started with Sunnis wanting more freedom. The children asking for this were Sunni children who in return for demanding more freedom were literally tortured to death which completely then pissed off the whole Sunni Muslim World.(All 1.1 Billion Sunnis worldwide).
This then also hardened Putin and Iran's response which became, "Assad is going to stay in power no matter what. Because even though the Sunnis are a majority of the people in Syria, Assad, Iran and Putin decided that they were going to kill every Sunni if necessary to keep Assad in power "No matter what!"
This then created ISIS (ISIL) and now ISIL which is a Sunni Terrorist organization loosely aligned with Al Qaeda is fighting for a Sunni Muslim Caliphate over most of the Middle East. They also want to obliterate all Shia Muslims including Iran and all Christians, Jews, Yazidis, and non-believers even atheists and agnostics.
So, the stance of Russia through Putin and the stance of Iran through Hezbollah basically says, "If you are Sunni in Syria you can just go die!"
So, the problem of groups like ISIS(ISIL) is only going to increase as long as Putin and Iran and Assad maintain this stance.
And because of this Europe and the rest of the world are likely going to increase in their suffering and blood loss because of this stance of Putin and Iran and Assad.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
