The following is an actual statement of the head of the IRS:
"New taxpayer protections against identity theft will be delayed."
So, if you are one of the millions of unfortunate people who file their taxes electronically you can just expect to have your identities compromised, pay thousands of dollars to retrieve your identities and expect to have your tax refunds stolen.
So, it may or may not happen, but this is why I NEVER file taxes electronically. Filing your taxes through the Internet is just ASKING to have both your identity and your tax refund stolen.
This was reported tonight on NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams. My emphasis of course was added because of my studies online regarding what happens to people who file taxes online and just how completely unsafe the Internet is regarding identity theft generally speaking.
Also, I have stopped ANY online banking because it just isn't safe either. If you want your money stolen by people stealing your bank passwords from your home computer online then keep right on doing online banking.
However, if you are smart you will give up online banking because if they get your home banking passwords you can kiss all the money in your accounts goodbye. And the bank isn't liable if the passwords to your bank accounts are breached from your home computer. So, you lose everything.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
