This is a very important question for all of us. The answer is: "You cannot really develop compassion for others if you hate yourself."
So, How do you stop hating yourself?
The answer is actually very simple. Develop integrity with yourself and others.
What is integrity?
Integrity means likely more than anything else wholeness.
And what is wholeness?
Stop lying to yourself.
If you are honest with yourself then you will find it more and more safe to be honest with others.
And by doing this you are developing integrity.
If you have integrity people will begin to trust you and you will begin to trust yourself too.
You will find your life changing for the better as more and more quality people trust you as you are honest with yourself and them.
So, developing compassion for others is not really possible until you learn to forgive yourself and learn to be honest with yourself.
This is where it all starts. Be honest with yourself and others so people can trust you and you can trust yourself too. Then all life will begin to trust you and you will be free!
