He was telling me that for a broken blood vein the correct treatment would have been ice instead of heat. He said heat was only good for sore muscles but injuries usually do better with ice. He said putting heat on my broken blood vein in my calf was likely why the pain spread so much and likely damaged more tissue.
So, if you get a broken blood vein somewhere just remember Ice is the best policy for a quick recovery because heat is only good for sore muscles.
Later on Monday:
However, on Monday I went to my general practitioner doctor. He said I had a thrombosis and unlike just a broken blood vein heat would be appropriate for a Thrombosis. I'm not sure I know how to describe what a thrombosis is. So, here is what Wikipedia says about them:
Thrombosis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ThrombosisCached
Thrombosis
is the formation of a blood clot (thrombus ; Greek: θρόμβος) inside a
blood vessel, obstructing the flow of blood through the circulatory
system.

I'm really sort of glad he didn't call it a blood clot and instead called it a Thrombosis. He also said if It got any larger and more painful I should fill a prescription for an Antibiotic he gave me. Since my wife and I didn't know what a thrombosis was and because he said heat would be good from a wet towel heated in the microwave we were sort of relieved because I have never experienced anything like this before ever. However, after a serious operation like I went through on April 4th it takes some months for your body to fully recover and reach full equilibrium once again. So, though my mental state is back to normal my health is sort of all over the place and I'm aware of that. So, it's good we are not going to S. Korea this week like we had planned about 6 months ago. Also, I'm on a no carbs no sugars no fruit juice diet to drop a great deal of weight in a short period of time to avoid diabetes too. I don't have diabetes but I sort of have to fight diet wise now not to get it.
However, this sort of diet is sort of difficult for me because I was raised a lacto-ovo vegetarian and so meat and fish has never been more than 5% of my diet ever and not at all before I was 32 years old. I find too much meat or fish is too constipating and I'm not into eating steak or pork at all at this point. So, that leaves poultry like Chicken, Turkey and fish like Crab and stuff like that or Salmon. So, you have to eat a lot of vegetables because the only fruits I'm allowed are Strawberries and Blueberries which is kind of different too. However, I do know Blueberries are really great for mental acuity.
