The scientist who discovered this says it will for sure make it cooler and give us more time to adjust to the world heating up but she says she didn't say it would create an ice age which was a liberty taken by one or more writers upon hearing about the Solar Minimum coming up so quickly now.
IF the world cools down for 70 to 100 years or so during a solar minimum that might be a good thing where Greenland, the North and South Pole and high mountains have some time to rebuild glaciers.
If you have ever been where there is a lot of ice or snow the actual snow (in mountainous areas) often changes the weather all around that area while the snow is there. Then if is it gone that also changes the weather (all by itself) in another way. So, whether there are glaciers in the north or south Polar regions and whether it is in mountainous regions or not is a real game changer either way.
So, I'm looking forward to more snow coming down in the far northern and far southern regions and also high on mountaintops where glaciers tend to be (or were during the past few centuries until the 1970s and 1980s onwards.
Also, this would tend to reduce forest fires too in many regions of the earth.
