I can't. Maybe it has happened but if so I don't remember it. The last time I remember well the U.S. using Cruise missiles was going into Baghdad in around 2002 or 2003. However, they probably went into Libya to just before Qaddhafi died in a coup.
So, maybe this is the first time I ever remember Russia sending in Cruise missiles into anywhere?
So, likely this is a precedent and likely people all over the world might take Putin more seriously after this.
However, who is he killing. Unfortunately he is mostly killing the same people who were tortured and killed by Assad a few years ago for demonstrating for Sunni rights in a majority Sunni nation.
So, is this just? If we believe in majority rule no.
But, if this is Russia that only believes in order and never democracy then this is Putin saying: "Assad at all costs."
Will he send cruise missiles into ISIS territory too? Unlikely at present at least because why send a cruise missile which can often be 1 million dollars a pop (so he just may have sent a 26 million dollar message to all Sunnis in Syria).
Here are some questions I have still.
Will he send Cruise missiles into ISIS territorynext or will he send cruise missiles into Saudi Arabia next?
This is the question the world is likely asking itself right now?
For the present those whose families were just killed in this latest salvo who survived likely will be in Turkey by tomorrow and on their way to Europe by next week by the thousands if they have the money to do it.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
