More and more I think Russia has two goals here. The first is to keep Assad in power at all costs (in other words he doesn't care how many die in keeping Assad in power. Which for Putin is logical.
The second goal I think is somehow to scare Sunni nations into forcing Saudi Arabia to raise the price of oil.
Now he is entrenched in Syria once again, scaring Saudi Arabia to raise oil prices I think is the next plan he has going on. Whether this scaring is directly attacking Saudi Arabia or not I'm not sure. But, something is going on and something is up his sleeve of this I'm very sure at this point.
Or maybe he's going to pay ISIS to attack Saudi Arabia? Since Assad bribes ISIS maybe Putin is or will too? ISIS for hire?
Putin is really "Testing the waters" on all levels.
It's the old Russian military proverb, "Push the bayonet in and if there is no resistance keep on pushing. But if there is resistance then pull back."
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
