Everyone Putin is bombing and killing is Sunni. Even if you believe he is bombing and killing ISIS (it is reported that less than 10% of targets hit today were possibly ISIS). But, even ISIS is Sunni Also.
There are 1.2 billion Sunnis in the world and only 161 million Shiites that Russia supports in Syria, IRaq and Iran.
Therefore Putin will face the ire (for the rest of his life) from Sunnis around the world (including in Sunnis in Chechnya) for doing what he is doing right now. So, now the world should expect the vendettas (because of his military moves in Syria) to increase over time from now against Putin from Sunnis all over the world for as long as Putin lives.
