Al Qaeda was only a terrorist organization and not an army when the Twin Towers in New York City went down in 2001.
This is something to think about for us all.
So, though the ISIS Army will be gone from the earth soon in places like Mosul and Raqqa we shouldn't think ISIS is defeated any more than we should presently think Al Qaeda or the Talaban have been defeated either.
I think you have to be realistic enough to compare Al Qaeda, the Talaban and ISIS to the IRA of Ireland. How long did the IRA in Ireland exist and in some ways it still exists today.
The same likely will be true of Al Qaeda, the Talaban and ISIS also, I wouldn't be surprised to see ISIS, Al Qaeda and the Talaban going strong 100 years from now.
Now, I know this is a truly awful thought but I think people need to be realistic about this sort of thing.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
