For many young people now demonstrating against Trump, Obama and Bush and maybe if they are old enough Clinton are the only presidents they remember in office.
However, for someone like me who remembers Eisenhower being inaugurated on TV in Black and white in 1952 when I was 4 I have seen a whole lot of presidents come and go. They all did the good they could do in office and left after 4 to 8 years each.
As long as they leave our democratic system intact and still functional it can be said that they served their purpose to history and to America and it's people.
This could also be true of Trump as long as he respects the rights of all the American people and the basic right to be alive of everyone on earth as well.
So, it's up to all of us (if he is inaugurated) to help him be the best president to and for all of us.
Just like with all presidents it didn't really matter in the end whether we voted for them at all. What mattered is that someone took the responsibility seriously of running the country for awhile and protecting America from all enemies foreign and domestic.
This is the best we can hope for in a president.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
