They started just like this peacefully. But then, Assad starting torturing and killing 15 year old children for demonstrating against him, then people started fighting back. I'm worried this could happen here too.
But, this time it will be sections of the country against each other in a civil war. It won't be the army or national guard. It will be groups of citizens who have different views against each other.
What Trump and Hillary started with both their rhetoric is the stuff that violent revolutions are made of. The ongoing demonstrations spreading further each day remind me once again of the Anti-Viet Nam demonstrations. Though mostly they were peaceful many people died peacefully demonstrating too. This likely isn't over. Instead it is just beginning. It is just getting started.
When I think back to the peaceful demonstrations in Syria in 2012 I worry about the U.S. now.
I lived through the 1960s and 1970s. This feels again like that. People won't give up their principles whatever they are. This isn't political. This is personal. It is about survival of all groups of people including white ones here in the U.S.
And neither side (of the many many sides) is going to give up.
This is why this is serious. Very serious.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
