If you think Electoral votes are tied to the popular vote in all states you would be wrong. Since demographics have been against Republicans since the end of the Reagan Adminstration, the Republicans have resorted to cheating in many states by making electoral votes not tied to the popular vote in many states. In the previous article, it states that in places with absentee votes in California and Washington, Clinton has millions of votes that are still to be counted.
So, now in the 2000 election and the 2016 elections Republicans have stolen the elections even when the popular vote should have put in Gore in 2000 and Clinton in 2016 by the popular vote.
So, it is likely that unless the Democratic party finds a way to get rid of the electoral college completely, Republicans are going to continue to demonstrate that the U.S. is not a democracy by Stealing more elections like they did the 2000 (and because of the 2000 the 2004) and now the 2016 election as well.
The electoral College proves the U.S. is not a democracy but rather an oligarchy.
Of the rich, by the rich and for the rich.
We are not a democracy since 2000 at least.
By Gerrymandering the Electoral College in some states the Republican party has found a way to put Republicans in in 2000, 2004 and now 2016 even when in 2000 and in 2016 Gore and Hillary won the popular vote by far which would have elected them as president in European countries in their system there. So they are still democracies and we are no longer one. We could be considered to be either a dictatorship or an oligarchy run by White Republicans who no longer have enough votes to elect in a president any other way than cheating.
