California has worst 'quality of life' in US, study says
I was reading this Fox News Article, and they have a specific "NON Californian point of view".
I've noticed Fox News Articles are almost always racist and denigrating to places that are progressive in their thinking.
However, there are many "California's".
What I mean by this is California is a huge state sort of like Texas or Alaska with many diverse types of people and climates.
For example, Hollywood moved to Southern California around 1900 or a little after because you have literally "EVery climate and type of place to live that there is on earth filmable withint 200 miles of Los Angeles.
Want a desert? Go out to Palm Springs, or Yucca VAlley or 29 Palms or further east.
Want Mountains? Go up to Big Bear or Mt. Baldy 20 minutes up in the hills from places like Pomona or San Bernadino.
Want Beaches? Go to Santa Monica, Malibu, San Clemente or San Diego Beaches.
Want to go skiing? drive up 45 minutes in the mountains from Glendale where I grew up to Mt. Waterman like I did when I wanted a break from High School.
Want to go surfing? 45 minutes to an hour from Glendale. I sometimes cut high school for surfing in my 1956 Ford Stationwagon that I called my "Surfwagon" back then at age 16 to 18 then from 1964 to 1966.
So, just saying California has the worst quality of life totally depends "Where" you are living in California. Also, I have been to other states where population density is much worse than southern Calfornia. One of the beautiful things about California is going some place cool on weekends in your car. You can drive to the beach, to the mountains, or to the desert within a couple of hours and "Get away from it all" if you want to.
For example, do I want to live now in Los Angeles or San Diego? No way!
But, growing up and into my 30s San Diego County was wonderful then. Now I wouldn't want to live there just because of Traffic.
So, what they are talking about is specifically Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego County when they say things like this at Fox News.
So, basically "Why don't they say what they mean?"
Because it isn't California they are talking about they are talking about Los Angeles County to San Diego County to the Mexican border. And on this level I might agree with them that 22 million people in that small of an area makes a difficult quality of life for people from all over the world.
For example, Santa Barbara where Oprah and many movie stars live is a great place to live still and San Luis Obispo is often called "The happiest place to live in the U.S."
So, Fox is basically "FULL OF SHIT" about all this because it isn't California that is the problem but specifically Los Angeles to San Diego where you might get a great job but be unhappy living there.
But, if you are a surfer and living on the beach anywhere there you might just be in heaven!
So, basically Fox News is just jealous of all the people in California who are living a life that they can't.
Basically what I'm saying here is you can be happy or miserable anywhere you choose in the world.
The important thing is to make a choice you are happy with so you can live a life worth living.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
