Is it useful for most people to know we are in a Geomagnetic Reversal right now?

It is useful for engineers to begin to work on this problem so some of the human race survive the next 10,000 years or so here on planet earth or on other planets we colonize.

By seeing this as a real problem we are now facing (or even that we might be facing if you aren't sure yet or have not been convinced yet) it is important to begin the engineering process so at least some of mankind can survive this.

What actually happens when magnetic poles reverse? or is it just the water in the toilets start spiraling the opposite directions suddenly if thinkyou are north or south of the equator?

I'm not sure about all this because I haven't been through this (nor has anyone else presently alive) in this lifetime.

So, it will be a learning experience for all of us.

What happens to everyone's electrical appliances anywhere on earth as this takes place?

This likely is going to make a lot of changes to life on earth no one expects including what happens during solar storms with no protection at all from our magnetosphere where literally most or all hard drives could be fried on the side of earth facing the sun if earth experiences a direct hit from a solar flare with no magnetosphere to protect us in place because of the geomagnetic reversal.

So, at that point the only way to protect yourselves from a solar flare's direct hit would be to have your computers or servers deeper than 10 feet under the earth to stop damage to electronics of all kinds that were on the side of earth hit by the solar storm when it hit.

For example:

The absolute worst case scenario would be 500 to 1000 years into the future when oil is not used at all and all cars and vehicles are powered by the sun or wind and that's all and all or most vehicles might be self driving.

So, a solar flare could theoretically kill hundreds of thousands of people on that side of the earth including planes falling out of the sky with all their electronics fried and the only planes that could even glide to  a landing would be all manual wires to surfaces and not electrical at all.

Imagine it being rush hour in Los Angeles for example, and a solar flare hit thousands of self driving vehicles frying all of their operating systems at once 500 to 1000 years from now.

This to me would be a worst case scenario.
What could actually do this?

The solar storm of 1859 (also known as the Carrington Event) was a powerful geomagnetic solar storm during solar cycle 10 (1855–1867). A solar coronal mass ejection (CME) hit Earth's magnetosphere and induced one of the largest geomagnetic storms on record, September 1–2, 1859.

What If the Biggest Solar Storm on Record Happened Today?

Mar 4, 2011 - Repeat of 1859 Carrington Event would devastate modern world, experts say. ... As solar storms go, the Valentine's Day flare was actually modest. ... Solar storms aimed at Earth come in three stages, not all of which occur in any given storm.
