Because asking good questions allows the human race not to go extinct within 50 to 1000 years.
As each of us formulates the right questions that will save at least some of us from what is coming, we begin to save humanity from itself.
By saving at least some of humanity from themselves we prevent complete extinction of all humans on earth and maybe they can colonize other worlds and dimensions beyond earth as well.
