Why is formulating questions important?

Imagine you have lived inside a dark cave all your life. you have never seen the sun. You might have seen a campfire but that is the brightest thing you have ever seen.

Now you walk out into the sun. How do you keep from going blind by staring at the sun that you are seeing for the first time?

You might say to yourself: "Why do my eyes hurt when I stare at that bright thing there?
or "What are those purple or green things I see in front of my eyes from staring at that bright thing there that some might call "The Sun".

If you didn't ask these questions you soon would be blind and not be able to see anything ever again.

If you don't ask questions when encountering new phenomena in your life you likely won't survive or at least survive very well ongoing in your lives.

The same is true of Global Climate change and global Warming. If the winds come up to 30, 40, 50 or 100 miles per hour what questions are you going to ask that will keep you alive?

A good one might be: "Is the roof protecting me from hail going to stay there or is it going to come off soon from the high winds?

This is a good question to ask. Because if it comes off while hail is coming down in 100 mph winds you might easily be dead soon with the roof protecting you gone.

Another question might be: "I"m driving in a car and hail is coming through the front window and I can't see anymore to drive. Should I stop? Yes! the answer is yes.  but pull over to the side of the road so you are less likely to get hit by other cars and maybe you should also jump into the back seat if hail is coming in through your windshield because then your roof of your car is the only thing protecting you from being killed by big hail at high wind speeds.

We stay alive by asking questions in situations that are strange for us when we encounter them. Otherwise often we are soon dead or the people around us are soon dead.

So, knowing how to ask questions and when to ask them is often the difference between life and death ongoing here on earth as we periodically experience odd or strange situations here on earth.
