What does this mean?
Basically, for me it means I die to God every night when I go to sleep and sometimes one or more times during the day. By Doing this I wake up in the morning refreshed a new person.
By giving all your troubles to God when you go to sleep at night, hope is renewed when you wake up in the morning.
Living this way is very renewing. When you give up all hope and give over to God when you go to sleep it allows God to do a major reset in your consciousness during the night.
IF you cannot let go then you cannot renew and if you cannot renew somehow then soon often you are dead either physically or psychologically or both.
Renewal (like new wild grasses and wildflowers in the spring after a fresh rain) is necessary for life to go on in any human body or mind.
