because it steals too much of your information. Although when you speak to your cable company through your TV controller to get a station likely they also know "through voice recognition" your location at that moment. Another way people get your location is when you use a fingerprint on your phone to open it up. Your fingerprint locates you that moment in time in their records as being at the particular GPS location within 3 feet of your actual location here on earth. So, that record will exist at NSA and any other person or government on earth that wants that information and any criminal as well. You might say, "So What?"
Well. If anyone at any moment someone wanted to locate you to kill you or to harm you or to make sure you were there so someone could be doing something somewhere else on earth that they wouldn't want you to see for any reason whatsoever then that would be done. It's true those of us not in government or soldiers or police or spies don't usually live in that kind of world, but never the less do you want people to have that much control over your lives or whether you live or die at any given moment?
Also, because I don't put anything financial on my phone I don't usually put a password or fingerprint on it for this reason. Since I don't have anything to hide on my phone and since I don't go places where it would be stolen usually, it isn't a problem for me.
In fact, the biggest problem for me over the years regarding a smartphone is accidentally dropping it in my hot tub spa outside or forgetting to take it out of my jeans after pulling up poison oak with gloves on and running it through the wash. So, finally I got a waterproof unbreakable case for my smartphone so even in heavy rains or if it gets dropped into my Hot Tub Spa outside by accident or if it runs through the wash it always comes through now like a charm.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
