The way this article and video came about was that I forgot how to open my headlamp to change batteries so I had to go online to a video about it to learn how to do it because I had lost the instructions papers I was given a year or two before. I was mostly using the headlamp for spelunking in Ice Caves around Mt. Shasta at the time. I think the most interesting Ice Cave was the frozen underground waterfall at Jot Dean Ice Cave. However, I have no idea what the conditions are there now this year. It's possible that the road to Medicine Lake might still be covered with snow as of July 7th 2019. not sure.
