In 1968 it was Nixon. As a 20 year old from a Republican Family I voted for him. But, as I began to see that he was a criminal in his actions out of principle I left the Republican party never to return even though it was also obvious to me that Nixon was the best statesman of the 20th century by preventing a war with China then along with Kissinger by developing them as a trading partner economically. Just as Trump is now starting a Trade war and potentially a violent war eventually with China, Nixon stopped a nuclear war with China simply by trading with them. So, it was hard but necessary to end my relationship with the Republican party out of principle just like the children of many Republicans are going to permanently end their relationship with the Republican party because of Trump's racism now.
It is easy to understand why Trump does this. It's because of his personality disorder of Narcissistic Personality disorder which cannot be cured through counseling. So, his condition (like Hitler's before him) is not possible to cure. And just like me when Nixon couldn't be cured of his paranoia I had to leave the Republican party out of principle, they will have to leave the Republican party out of principle as well as they move into their 20s. Otherwise they will become a paradox and at war with themselves the rest of their lives. I saw what happened to many people who tried to have it both ways. Often they went crazy or died before their time.
However, remember I'm still alive now, just like Hillary Clinton who made the same decision at that time and I'm still alive and sane at 71. She's the same age as me and was born about 6 months before me.
