More and more Jellyfish are taking over the oceans

Why is this happening?

People are overfishing the oceans. Fish of various kinds are the only predators to jellyfish. Because of overfishing less jellyfish are being killed by fish. This causes baby fish to be killed more by the poisonous tentacles of jellyfish when they are young so less fish grow up. This in turn kills off more and more apex predators like sharks and whales that eat fish from starvation because there are less and less fish to eat in certain parts of the ocean. So, the more the ocean is overfished in certain locations the less fish there will tend to be because of this death cycle for fish which causes more death for little fish which causes more and bigger jellyfish to survive ongoing.

The end result is more and more various kinds of jellyfish and less and less fish and less and less sharks and whales and other apex predators in the oceans of the world.
