What's going on with the Housing Crisis on West Coast?

What is happening a lot is that people are moving to places like Nevada where housing is cheaper than on the coast. Or people are moving from San Jose north up to Marin county are moving to places like Oregon where there are less people and housing is less.

For example, a one bedroom apartment in San Francisco is minimum $3600 a month whereas a one bedroom in Portland Oregon might run you as little as 800 to 1000 a month. Plus if you are in Oregon Gasoline is 1 dollar approximately less than California as well per gallon, And because gas and diesel is less in Oregon, food is almost always going to be less too because they don't have state sales tax that I know of.

So, people who have lived 5 or 6 generations or more in San Francisco are being forced financially out of the market from San Jose north to Marin county unless they are pretty rich and being forced to move to places like Nevada or Oregon or other places less expensive whether they want to or not just to survive financially.

And regarding population density California has 40 million people in it mostly south of about Bakersfield and Pismo Beach (25 to 30 million in the south). So, Oregon only has around 4 million people in the whole state which gives people a whole lot less traffic to deal with too. Likely Nevada is a similar story as long as you can survive living in over 100 degrees Fahrenheit about 6 months a year from about April to October. However, often Nevada in winter can be really nice about 60 or 70 degrees in the daytime (even though it likely is going to be below freezing at night.)

Nevada is 3.034 million people by the way I just looked it up.
