We have all our instincts for a reason. Those who used those instincts correctly these last millions of years are still genetically alive. Those who didn't went extinct here on earth and on other planets humanoids we are related to lived on before this one. So, even though we are genetically engineered to survive specifically here on earth there are thousands of other types of humanoids on other planets genetically designed to survive there as well.
Developing your instincts for survival at the very least here on earth is important so you and your genetic traits will survive far into the future here on earth and on whatever planets your descendants live on in the future of the human race throughout this galaxy and others in the near and far future.
You might say: "What is the difference between Instinct and intuition?"
From my point of view, instinct is what you are born with and intuition is what you develop from your instincts. Another way to look at it might be that intuition is something tied more to altruism and how you feel and think about life around you. This is sort of how I look at it that intuition is a spiritual relationship (almost like a religion) that is about your relationship with all life in the universe. Everything is aware of what you are doing 24 hours a day. So, intuition is your sense of integrity that you have "on all levels" with all life in the universe. The more life around you can trust you the more you become sort of like a leader or trusted elder here in the universe on earth or wherever you are in the universe physically or while traveling as a soul through time and space and Being.
