Eucalyptus trees can explode in a fire
This is one reason why it isn't safe to fight a fire in a eucalyptus forest, because when one of these trees explode all at once you might see 10 more explode too soon after sending pieces of bark and limbs and all parts of the trees in all directions sort of like a hand grenade. IF you have a eucalyptus tree here in the U.S. remember this too in a fire. Because if you are around a tree exploding whether it is a eucalyptus or a pine tree you could have pieces of wood or limbs driven through you when it goes if you are close enough when this happens. I suppose you might be safe if you were inside a fire truck but limbs or pieces of wood might still drive through the windows and get you anyway. The pitch in a tree causes it to explode when it gets hot enough. So, in a really hot fire often trees are going to explode which only adds to the danger you face if you are in one or fighting one.
