Pandemics (like we have just seen) and Wind and storms. Why?
Pandemics are obvious why cruise ships in general are a problem as we have already seen in the Diamond Princess in Yokohama. But, add to this global warming and you have these incredibly top heavy (in other words in a storm they can easily capsize) ships.
So, Whoopee! lets all go on a cruise and die of Coronavirus or capsize in a Global Warming ever increasing winds Storm!
With GPS it is true that you can travel at 40 to 60 miles per hour to go around and avoid such storms until the seas get too big around such storms but what happens if the engines go down and you get capsized while waiting for them to be fixed in a heavy wind and 20 to 30 foot seas?
If you have any technical knowhow at all you will understand what I'm talking about here.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
