When I first started blogging in 1999 I wasn't concerned at all with Readership

Mostly then I was just fulfilling my pledge to God that I would write about my amazing experiences with God all my life that I made in the fall of 1998 at Stanford Hospital on the grounds of Stanford University which possibly is the best hospital in Northern California to go to especially for special circumstances a little out of the ordinary. They have many specialists who also likely teach at Stanford University there so it is exceptional.

So, when I first started blogging in June of 1999 I had just been told a month before that I wasn't going to die then at age 51 in May of 1999. So, I had just been given my life back so to speak and wanted to honor God like I promised by beginning to write at my new website at geocities.com then.

But, I don't think I was trying to track people trying to read stuff at any site I owned until maybe 2010 or something like that.

At that point I was really really surprised at what people actually wanted to read about and it wasn't at all what I would have thought at the time.

So, I realized then around 2010 that I was interested in many things and that I could still blog about what I wanted most to blog about AND blog about what people were most interested in reading about all at the same time.

So, because of this my blog took off with many many readers starting around 2011 during the Earhquake and Tsunami in Japan when I advocated people Crowd sourcing with Geiger counters to make sure their food and air and water was safe to eat, drink and breathe there in Japan and coming across the Pacific ocean from there on the winds and storms all the way to California and the U.S.

So, this is when my blog really started to take off and at one point between then and now I had up to 100,000 visits in a single month which I thought at the time was amazing.

Now my site has almost reached 2.5 million views at this point which is a lot.

But, if you want more visits quicker I would recommend Vlogging rather than Blogging because people are more interested in seeing videos in general than they are in reading worldwide as a general rule.

Vlogging just mean Video Blogging where you are videoing yourself saying something or doing something. Many people who are creative and understand their audiences even make a living doing this. However, I don't need to do this because I'm okay. Also, I prefer to remain somewhat anonymous so I still have my privacy and so do all my family as we travel the world (but obviously not now during coronavirus) and this likely will be for at least 2 to 3 years of not traveling just like everyone else.

Most traveling now will be by car or truck through the U.S. and Canada when it all opens up and is more safe than now this summer and beyond. I felt safe enough to visit my daughter and husband in Santa Barbara so I have done that but since February this week is the first week I have ventured alone away from the SF Bay area on business and pleasure so far.

But, hopefully as things open up more I will figure out a way to feel safe visiting mt. Shasta and my other kids in Portland Oregon once again.
