American transcendentalist philosopher and essayist Ralph Waldo Emerson. It contains the most thorough statement of one of Emerson's recurrent themes: the need for each individual to avoid conformity and false consistency, and follow his own instincts and ideas. It is the source of one of Emerson's most famous quotations: "A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen and philosophers and divines."[1] This essay is an analysis into the nature of the “aboriginal self on which a universal reliance may be grounded.”[2] Emerson emphasizes the importance of individualism and its effect on an individual's satisfaction in life. He stresses that anyone is capable of achieving happiness, simply if they change their mindset. Emerson focuses on seemingly insignificant details explaining how life is "learning and forgetting and learning again". [3]

I can say this much more simply than this:
"If you think like a slave like most people are taught to the end result of thinking like a slave is suicide."
But, if you think about how you can actually be happy you have to give up the weight put upon you to think like a slave and to reprogram your mind to rugged individualism. Otherwise, you can NEVER be happy a day in your life!
Some people are so twisted by all this that they think they have to be a criminal to be happy.
But, this isn't true because becoming a criminal is bad karma which twists someone even more in the end.
So, the question becomes: "How can I be a rugged individualist and be happy without becoming a criminal?"
Learning how to do this often is about going to college and learning critical thinking and getting into counseling with someone who shares your basic philosophy of life.
You don't want to go to a counselor that doesn't share your basic belief system to begin with.
But, what I will say is "By the Grace of God" I survived my 20s when I wanted to kill myself. During my 20s I reprogrammed myself to be happy which I was from age 32 to 37 when my father died.
Then I struggled until I was 50 when I almost died. Then by being grateful for every moment I have had left I have been happy (except when I thought I was dying) ever since.
So, most of the time since I recovered my heart virus at age 50 (after I was forced to retire or die) I have been happy. So, what I'm saying is: "Happiness is possible here on earth" but you have to prepare your mind for happiness. Otherwise when you reach happiness you will feel guilty to be happy.
So, prepare for happiness so you can actually enjoy it.
You have to reprogram your mind as an adult to be happy.
If you think like a slave you will die like a slave and never be happy!
So, in order to be happy you have to free your mind from being a slave.
And you do this by empowering yourself by the Grace of God
By God's Grace
